It seems that ubicd is currently (v0.5.0) listening on IPv4 only. If the daemon were also listening on IPv6, it would be much easier to run a public facing node.

On Linux, listening on IPv6 (i.e., [::] instead of 0.0.0.0) will also allow incoming IPv4 connections.

@kseistrup thanks for the suggestion, but there is so much else to do that I think this will be implemented far in the future.

As long as you have this issue in mind and don't close it, I cannot ask for more.

I am not sure about the format of the peer database, but if it stores IP addresses, the address family will be relevant there, too.
