The NASA Robotics Mining Competition is a
75-
competition hosted by NASA, where fifty teams across
76-
the United States compete to build the best rover
77-
that can mine under a simulated surface of the moon.
78-
A rover starts at the home base, navigates through
79-
obstacles, and then reaches a mining zone where it
80-
has to break through a few layers. It then digs out
81-
regolith (gravel) and transports it back to the home
82-
base, where it deposits the regolith. The process is

repeated multiple times.

The NASA RMC pitted fifty teams across the United States to construct a rover that is capable of mining through a simulated lunar surface.
77+
The URC, which TrickFire currently competes in, has rovers navigate a marked path, search an area for a rock specimen, and then deliver it
78+
to a Sample Cache. Then, rovers will collect a new rock and deliver it to a Science Box while searching for a Designated Object
79+
to deliver to a different Science Box. Finally, rovers will assist in cleaning up a Wreckage Area by picking up pieces of
80+
wreckage and delivering them to a human player.
