Mapview: multi-region view selected through the UI

Find a way to enhance the UI to allow a multi-region mapview to be selected. I believe the only way for now is to edit the URL to add new regions.

Idea: since the most likely usage would be to select a group of adjacent regions, maybe a "select adjacent regions" button could bring up a list of checkboxes, with the currently-mapped region(s) and any others that have at least one waypoint shared with any currently-mapped region.

We might also have some selectable groups of regions people are likely to want to group together to get started. Thinking: New England states, Canadian Maritimes, all of Western Europe, etc.

I am not sure how relevant this is with recent enhancements to Mapview.

Not relevant to me..... It's still possible via the url and with recent features I don't see any reason to make any complicated UI selection.
