Facelift not working

Hello everyone... Facelift starts but the swap does not work, I get the following in the log:

Not sure how to troubleshoot so any help is very welcome!!!

Thank you for reaching out, I just saw your comment on Reddit.

Is there anything further up the log related to Unprompted.call?

The Facelift template uses the [call] shortcode to read the contents of your selected preset (e.g. best_quality.txt or fast.txt). It sounds like it can't fetch the file for some reason... could be a permissions issue. Hard to say for sure without knowing what the raised exception was. What operating system are you on?

As a possible workaround, you can try hardcoding a preset into the Facelift template. I'll attach a modified version for you. Extract it to unprompted/templates/common/functions and restart the WebUI.

Not an ideal solution really, but I'm curious to know if it helps you get around the problem.

P.S. You can set logging.level to "DEBUG" instead of "INFO" in config.json to get a lot more information in the console. This may help diagnose the issue.

Hello, thanks for the super fast response!
I actually tried in two separate computers and looks like the same error in both. I don't see anything that mentions "Unprompted.call" Windows 11 running SD via A1111 from a secondary drive. I replaced the file you mentioned, but unfortunately it is now giving a different set of errors. I just tried with a simple prompt, no Controlnet. But here are more details:

That's curious. Can you confirm that you have the following folder on your system?

webui/extensions/unprompted/lib_unprompted/insightface/thirdparty/face3d/mesh/cython

If so, you could also try adding Cython as a required package in unprompted/requirements.txt. Add this as a new line, save the file, then restart the WebUI:

Cython # [faceswap] insightface

I will try to reproduce this issue on a clean install of the WebUI soon. It's possible there is some other dependency I forgot to include.

Yes, the third party folder is there. I made the changes you suggested and now Facelift seems to be completely inactive. Even when enabled nothing related to Unprompted loads during image generation. I haven't tried any other features. I purchased the new Template but this is the first time I am using Unprompted so I still need to figure out how to use the templates. I tried Facelift first because it seemed very straight forward to use. I'll be away for a couple hours, but will check later for any potential fixes. Thanks again for your quick assistance!!

Having the same issue here so I thought I'd chime in. To confirm the Cython folder was missing at webui/extensions/unprompted/lib_unprompted/insightface/thirdparty/face3d/mesh/cython so I added the line you posted above to the requirements.txt but it appears to have made no difference after restarting webui.

Trying to faceswap gives the below. I'm running Windows 11 if that helps. I am going to create a fresh A1111 install on another drive and give it another go to see what happens.

Edit: Same issue with a fresh install on another drive.

@deanorocko Hmm, I guess Github doesn't want to serve some of the Insightface files then. I recommend downloading Unprompted from Github's website and extracting it into your extensions/unprompted folder manually.

I'm going to look into hosting the Insightface stuff elsewhere. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

It sounds like they fixed it by moving the __init__.py file from lib_unprompted/insightface/thirdparty/face3d/mesh into the cython folder there. I suspect doing so could break other parts of the insightface package, but it doesn't seem to interfere with faceswapping. So feel free to give that a try.

EDIT: I just pushed v10.0.2 which disables the __init__.py file by default. Let me know if it helps.

Thanks for the great assistance and support. After the new update the Facelift feature is working now!! However I am now getting the following error: (ERROR) [Unprompted.after] Could not communicate with ControlNet.
I am also having issues and confused about the Templates, the provided instructions don't really match with the features that I have enabled on my Unpropmpted GUI and they also appear to be related to Controlnet integration, at least that's what I think. Should I start a new support thread?

UPDATE: I hit the refresh button in the Select template: menu and now Facelift is no loner working. I made sure everything was enabled. Very weird
