Trademarks

Telemetry Tracker and associated logos, wordmarks, and product identity are trademarks of Tacko (or its affiliates). All rights reserved.

The MIT License grants rights to the software; it does not grant a license to use the Telemetry Tracker name or branding in commerce in ways that create confusion about who operates the service.

Self-hosting and internal use

You may deploy and run Telemetry Tracker on infrastructure you control for:

  • Your own products and teams
  • A single organization or tenant you operate
  • Development, staging, and production environments you manage

You do not need permission to self-host under MIT. Include the MIT copyright notice as required by LICENSE.

Forks and renamed deployments

If you run a modified or unmodified copy for others, do not present it as the official Telemetry Tracker service or use our branding in a way that implies Tacko operates or endorses it.

Acceptable:

  • “Built with Telemetry Tracker (open source)” with a link to this repository
  • A clearly distinct product name (e.g. “Acme Observability Platform, powered by open-source telemetry software”)
  • Internal tool names that are not marketed publicly as Telemetry Tracker

Not acceptable without written permission:

  • Domains, app names, or marketing such as “Telemetry Tracker Cloud”, “Official Telemetry Tracker”, or “Telemetry Tracker as a Service” operated by a third party
  • Copying the official site, dashboard marketing, or logo treatment to resell hosted access to third parties
  • Suggesting your hosted offering is telemetry-tracker.com or is affiliated with Tacko when it is not

Official hosted cloud

The official managed service is operated by Tacko at:

https://telemetry-tracker.com

The legacy hostname telemetry-tracker.tacko.io redirects to the same service.

Paid Pro and Business plans on that offering are billed in EUR through Stripe. Other hosted deployments are not the official product unless explicitly agreed in writing with Tacko.

Partnerships and enterprise

Relationship to MIT

Nothing in this policy restricts your MIT rights to use, modify, and distribute the source code. It only clarifies that trademark and branding rules apply when naming or marketing services to third parties.
