Checklist

  • I am able to reproduce the bug with the latest version.
  • I made sure that there are no existing issues - open or closed - which I could contribute my information to.
  • I have read the FAQ and my problem isn't listed.
  • I have taken the time to fill in all the required details. I understand that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.
  • This issue contains only one bug.
  • I have read and understood the contribution guidelines.

Affected version

0.23.3

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open NewPipe.
  2. Open a playlist with bunch of watched videos.
  3. Click "Remove viewed videos".
  4. Click "Yes" or "Yes, And partially watched video".
  5. Instead of waiting playlist to be cleared, quickly press back button.

Expected behavior

Playlist should be cleared in any condition (even when going back quickly)

Actual behavior

Playlist not cleared if clicking back too early

Screenshots/Screen recordings

NewPipeBug_27.08.22.mp4

Logs

N/A

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

One UI 2.5 (Android 10)

Affected device model

Samsung J5 Prime

Additional information

just to clear up confusion, playlist can be cleared if waited for the long loading (after clicking OK button on "Remove Watched Videos" dialog), but if i go back quickly (aka still in loading/removing state) it won't do anything.

my suggestion is to add the feature to clear the playlist in the background (asynchronous) so it will get cleared even if a user quickly get back out of playlist

Remove Watched Videos has never worked for me whether I click 'OK' or 'Yes, and partially watched videos'. I even refreshed the feed after watching video fully and partially.
