Temperature Monitoring

• MSI Afterburner - mainly GPU but can check also other temperatures and fan speeds
• LibreHardwareMonitor - shows all kind of system information (open source!)
• CristalDiskInfo -> Shows disk info (e.g. errors, temperature, power on count/hours, features (SMART, TRIM, ...), ...); also available via portable apps (open source!)

Stress

• GPU
  • Furmark -> High intense GPU stressor
• CPU
  • CineBench - CPU single core and multicore
  • stress-ng -> partially stress CPU
    • stress-ng -c 0 -l 40: Spawn number of processes as per CPU core count (-c 0), produce approx. 40 % load (-l 40) -> use in WSL
  • Prime95/mprime -> Super hardcore stressor; Windows and Linux
• Disk
  • CrystalDiskMark -> Stress/measure disk R/W speed (open source!)
