Diagram view starts putting diagonal lines in

Description

I added 2 tables to this model and the diagram view changed several of the connections to diagonal lines vs lines that try to navigate around tables. This isn't an extraordinarily large model, and has a number of disconnected tables in it (Field Parameters, Calc Groups, or just disconnected slicers), but once it gets large enough it doesn't seem to work correctly.

Saving and closing then reopening the diagram doesn't fix it, nor does restarting TE/3.
