This is a genetic algorithm bot written to assist in making player inputs for tools-assisted speedruns, all the while letting the bot slowly "learn" to achieve the intended goal configured by the player as efficiently as it can.
This bot reads the memory values stored within the RAM of an active game session, and will "tweak" the recorded inputs as it slowly reaches the local minimum calculated based on the fitness conditions the player has set.
Currently, the linked build can work out-of-the-box in current BizHawk dev builds.
To see a more organized source code containing the genetic algorithm and neuroevolution of augmented topology (NEAT),
please use the development
branch (prebuilt).
