@980202006, there is some discussion here: lucidrains/vector-quantize-pytorch#74 (comment), the rest happened on private Discord servers. This form of residual-FSQ is quite different from what we implement in the paper however, as it relies on training with the residual formulation in place. Ours is imposed post-hoc, and is hence much more flexible.
