Haven't seen an issue about this one yet, because I'm sure it's another issue of my isolated use case. I'm currently running Ubuntu's 21.10 release. Everything about skipping, rewinding, editing the volume or seeking the player during playback works pretty well with some (albeit expected) input lag. I can also launch spotifyd without much of a hitch due to compiling from the Slim release.
Is there some kind of dependency I've forgotten to download? Maybe a boolean value I should set?

So, apparently, this is already being tracked in librespot-org/librespot#19, might be fixed sometime in the future as part of the new-api effort in librespot.
