This script can be used to help you get around Bitwig (also in version 3.0 and up) and give you feedback of what’s playing on your current track.
The rotary knob can be used to change different controls depending on what mode is selected. There are four modes to choose from:
- TRACK controlling track selection, clip stopping and using the rotary for volume of the current track.
- VIEW zooming to selection or fitting zoom to show all, full screen and using the rotary to zoom in/out.
- EDIT cut, copy, and paste, using the rotary to change the playback position.
- CONTROL three selectable controllers to map to Bitwig and use the rotary to set it's value.
Most buttons are self-explanatory, pushing the rotary button however is equivalent to pressing enter.
Pads light up when receiving midi notes (or when played on an active track) with the intensity matching the velocity.
How to install?
See Bitwig controller installation guide for instruction how to install the controller script.
Load the supplied file (SD Maschine Mikro MK2.ncmm2) in the Native Instruments Controller Editor and select the template on your Maschine.
In Bitwig, if the controller does not get auto-detected, select Maschine Mikro Mk2 (by Marcel Huibers) in the Native Instruments group.
