Inventory items are deprecated in 4.3. Likely removed in 2026

Just wanted to put on everyone's radar that inventory items are deprecated in favor of modules. More info here netbox-community/netbox#19004

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "the major one". It seems like creating "modules" will have to replace creating "inventory items" .
Module bays house modules, all of which have a module type.

I was working the last weeks on a modification of your great tool so that it is also able to create modules/module_bays instead of inventory items. At the moment, it is a fork (with also some other changes) Link.
If you are interested, I can create an "experimental" PR. It's is still not bug free, but it would be great to have more people to test it (I only have HPE servers to test).
