Printer

Bambu Lab P1S

How to reproduce

  1. Have a part that needs support and is very thin on the bottom end (eg. sharp triangle)
  2. Slice it with tree support
  3. Too much distance

Actual results

I get 2 layers of "top z distance" on 0.2 Layer Height/Top Z distance. All other regions have the correct 1 layer "Top Z Distance"

Expected results

Only do 1 Layer Top Z Distance. This is probably due to the part being so thin, that it can't be sliced with a 0.4 nozzle. But then it should continue with another Support Layer.

So the problem is most likely, that the upper support end is calculated on the object and not on the sliced layers.
