Do we require a paid license for ImageSharp if the library is going to be used in a system for a government institution in South Africa? |

Yes, a paid license is required. Our license only exempts open-source projects that meet our criteria and registered non-profit organizations. Government institutions do not fall into either category, so they are not exempt. Licensing for ImageSharp is based on the size of the organization (total number of developers employed), not on sector or mission. For your use case, ImageSharp would need to be licensed under the appropriate commercial tier that matches your developer headcount. |
