I was wondering if there's any update on the post linked above.

Is it already possible to modify the EXIF data of a JPG image without quality degradation? (E.g. modifying the "Orientation" flag).

Hi @devedse

I don't think this is something we'll be likely to support. We'd need entirely separate process that read and extract the metadata while marking the positions in the input stream so that is could be reintroduced in the correct portion of the image.

That would likely take years to implement correctly.
