What HeadDB provides

HeadDB is a Minecraft head database plugin for Paper and Folia servers. It gives players a polished inventory interface for browsing, searching, favoriting, optionally purchasing, and obtaining head items while giving server owners precise control over access and behavior.

The public catalog contains more than 100,000 heads and is organized through categories, tags, and collections. Server-specific content remains local and persists independently from the public database.

This documentation covers installation, commands, permissions, configuration, GUI usage, economy, updates, local data, API integration, and troubleshooting.

Recommended path

  1. Install HeadDB and start the server once.
  2. Review the generated files under plugins/HeadDB/.
  3. Grant headdb.basic to players and headdb.admin only to trusted staff.
  4. Configure economy pricing if heads should cost money.
  5. Run /hdb status and /hdb verify.
  6. Open /hdb and test the player workflow.
