Hi There,

I've been trying to get a XIAO IR Mate Smart IR to work with a Mitsubishi AC for a few days and have given up.

It's fine for basic teach and repeat actions but the mitsubishi smart air conditioner control doesn't work. Note the page linked to above "which lists all supported brands and their platform names (e.g., daikin, midea, panasonic_ac, etc.)." doesn't include anything like such a list, not even a link to the list. The whole page, which includes platform at the start of every climate definition, provide zero information or links to platform information either. It looks a lot like ESPHome's documentation is just useless blather spat out by AI!

The reliable operating range of the device is also pretty poor at less than two meters.

This doesn't really help much either.

The rmt_chanel option in the code above is no longer supported by ESPHome (doesn't work on current version 2025.9.1). Apparently it can be simply deleted but who knows.

Unfortunately, the device is essentially useless for me. Unless you are an ESPHome expert, I'd suggest avoiding it.
