- Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer @Couro
- Founder @Torchstack
I build cool things that have a high societal impact with AI. You can find me at LinkedIn.
I received my PhD from the University of Michigan @sriram-lab, where I developed new AI/ML and Systems Biology approaches to identify cancer drug candidates that hit key metabolic pathways. I published 8 peer-reviewed articles with associated software and led research, earning over $100K in National Institute of Health (NIH), Department of Energy (DOE), and private grant funding.
After my graduate school training, I worked as a data scientist, AI engineer, NLP/AI researcher, and Chief Technology Officer for various companies. I also consult, strategize, and lead/manage engineering teams to build AI products. I've supported clients such as Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, private healthcare organizations, and several startups to drive various initiatives that impact millions of people's lives.
Currently, I am a co-founder and CTO of Couro. We aim to improve runners' lives using AI, machine learning, and data. We work with professional athletes, physical therapists, coaches, biomechanists, sports scientists, and other experts in the sports industry to develop personalized running insights, based on running history, sports, clinical expert insights, and video analytics. I'm also the founder of Torchstack, an AI development agency that provides custom AI services to small businesses and startups.
Some of my past projects include:
- Leveraging LLMs for developing a personalized marketing platform π§
- Performing data analysis and creating data pipelines for healthcare-based datasets (claims, financial, EMRs, etc) ποΈ
- Establishing DataOps and MLOps best practices for model deployment and data processing βοΈ
- Vision models to identify anatomical structures during surgical procedures π·
- Developing bioinformatics pipelines (gene set enrichment analysis, protein expression network graphs, etc) for drug discovery π
- Training and developing Vision-Language Models for chart reasoning and understanding π
- Medical NLP development for entity identification, extraction, and summarization π
- Deploying statistical learning models for inferring patterns of care from claims data π₯
- Pose estimation applications for improving athletic performance πββοΈ
I'm always interested in chatting about technology, startups, starting collaborations, helping other founders and small businesses, and just getting to know cool people and what they're working on.
