Hi @jess-shue,

As we start doing the mortality census, there are a few changes in the field maps app that we need or would be useful to add/change in the app.

First, the protocol calls for a picture of alive unhealthy tree's FADs, would we be able to add that feature into the field maps app?

Another feature that would be useful is a notes section in the mortality survey (currently we are using the census survey notes).

Finally, if lianas are left blank, will the form auto fill as "lianas not present"? If not, would we be able to add that to streamline the process?

Hi @emacmonigle,

Yes to the first two questions, for the auto-fill on Lianas - that may take some work/may not be possible.

I messaged David this morning and he said he was also taking a look at things, so he may find more things as well (or is this list from his testing?).

6/22

  • added comment_mortality
  • now allows photos/attachments - will need to set app permissions on the tablet to allow the app to access the camera
  • re-ordered the forms per discussion with David

In Progress:

  • default value for liana load; may not be able to make this happen quickly
  • requiring the fields for the size of a wound/canker/swelling/rot
  • attempting to change the text color of warnings for better visibility
