Handling endpoint timeouts

It seems there is a default 2 minutes timeout when calling to the REST endpoints. Some questions:

• Is it possible to configure a different timeout?
• When the timeout is reached the connection is closed (socket hang out, empty response)... would be possible to return an error response in that case? 504 status code maybe?

Example: When calling to /v1/rpc to use the "waitanyinvoice" rpc method without timeout parameter
