Here's something trivial that forces using dynamic strings, because we can't otherwise instruct the macros not to mess with the innerHTML and leave it raw:  . In fact, any HTML entity, simply because there's currently no way to make it leave the & alone that's not falling back to String...

Well,, it's not minifying... It's also failing to expand multiline correctly, no matter if I use """ or #"""; so there's also that. Big step forward though!

Basically the situation is that it doesn't minify (this should probably be tuneable, even though I currently see no point outside of the pre tag), even though this was an interesting handling of the multiline string; still it missed the embedded quotes as something that has to be either (#-)backslash-escaped, or the """ (or #""") has to be preserved.

Perhaps the better way forward is to compose behaviours instead of piling everything else on the entry point; that is, have a minify() macro that can be used to elide the whitespace, both horizontal and vertical, that the HTML spec would document as ignored.

While working on minification logic I noticed the provided HTML is malformed (the closing tags located in the circle line aren't in the correct place). Is that expected or would the following be the HTML you intended?
