Hi @jrfnl! 👋 I hope you do not mind me suggesting this.

I had to wait for Aprils Fools day to pass before posting this, as I was afraid people might otherwise not take note...

The French public administration is rewarding maintainers of critical Free Software that it uses. Its Free Software unit (an OSPO) has partnered with NLnet to put four notable projects in the spotlight and award them the BlueHats 2024 prizes.

As can be seen on the code.gouv.fr website, PHP_CodeSniffer is used by several French Government projects.

Anyone can nominate projects using the form on the NLNet site, so I would like to invite the community at large to nominate this project!

But why stop there? Feel free to nominate any of the other deserving projects on the roster!

The agency that use PHP_CodeSniffer is GIP Renater, the French Research and Education Network.

@Potherca I certainly don't mind. Great initiative and thank you for suggesting for people to nominate PHP_CodeSniffer for this! Much appreciated.

@Potherca, great idea! After seeing your message, I decided to give it a try and nominate the project, but one of the questions is which public agencies use PHPCS, and I was not able to find this information. Do you happen to know where I can get it?

I can see that PHPCS is listed as a dependency on the code.gouv.fr website and it indicates that there are three repositories that use it. But when I click to see which repositories, I get an empty list and a Repository not found: would you like to make a new request? error message. Here is the link that I'm checking: https://code.gouv.fr/public/#/deps?q=codesniffer

I also sponsored the project with my own money instead of hoping it wins the lottery :P
