Some Ideas #446
Comments
Some of these already exist |
Thanks for the reply lieven, If some of these exist or are planned or proposed I'm sorry :), could you answer my other question on another thread too? (See I'm cheeky :P) How do you make the Stargate iris 100% durability as when you get it from the creative inventory it's at 0/21%. |
Ok, I loaded a superflat world and found a generated gate! This had the 'off-world' disguisable gate thing i suggested, is there any way to do this yourself? Ie being able to disguise the bottom without finding a generated one? |
there is a paint tool craft it with block of choice |
Hello people of Lanteacraft! I just thought I would leave some of my ideas here for you to consider :).
Disguisable Stargate bases. I.E being able to have blocks as the bottom of the Stargate rather than a full ring, like seen on off world Stargates.
Stargate Mechanical Iris re-texture. (This is probably already planned)
1 in 100 chance of finding books or blocks containing a single Stargate address in villages. These addresses could lead to other Stargates on the map OR to another dimension.
Make the Jaffa Staff Weapon name Ma'Tok Staff, have it as a 3d item and add the ability to fire (Some of this may already be in consideration, especially firing.)
'Unscheduled off-world activation' alien incursions at random times, where player built Stargates get activated and a wave of enemies come through, such as Jaffa.
Serpent Guard armour.
More Stargate Weapons. IE FN P90, Zat'Nik'tel and Wraith Stunners.
Damaged Stargates and DHD's, these would not be functional but could be salvaged for parts or could be salvaged and repaired.
Stargate Iris power failures, not a common occurrence. But would add some realism.
SGC dialing computer, I know there is ccDHD but this would be for people who either don't want that mod or don't know how to use it. Basic functions of the computer would be Iris control and Dialling.
SGC Stargate ramp block. SGC Stargate 'Stabiliser' blocks (red bits in corners of Stargate at SGC), function would be to minimise risk of failure (see later points).
Stargate wormhole failure, anyone travelling through Stargate (yes I know Stargates at current transport instantly, see later point) at time would die. Again, not a common occurrence
13). Small travel time between Stargates in which the graphic would be shown from the TV show. 4-5 seconds, can be increased and decreased by power level.
Low energy Stargates have a limited range and chevron lights 'fluctuate' when locking and stay at a dimmer level than usual. Low power Stargates also can not function 'addons' such as the Iris, stay open for significantly less time (see later point) and higher risk of failure.
Have wormhole opening time limited to 1 minecraft day. (More explanation, the Stargate can only stay open for 10 minutes without having to be re-dialled). I know this function isn't highly accurate considering the time in the show is around 38 minutes, but it would add a teensy bit more realism.
(God this is a lot of ideas) Lantean glass and the Atlantis stairs with the lights on.
Goa'uld Stargate 'bubble' shield. Has same purpose as Iris and energy shield, however players and such can re-materialise but can not move outside of 1 block range of the gate.
Fast dial option. Meaning once all chevrons have been typed the gate instantly opens. Once again I know this isn't accurate and I'm actually a fan of how the chevrons lock as you type them now, this feature is more for people using in survival.
Configurable 2 way travel option. I believe we had this but was disabled, again for convenience in survival.
Stargate cover stones and hieroglyph blocks. When you first discover gates randomly generated in the world they would have cover stones on with the address of the gate (or, because this might be a bit much to ask considering you can generate thousands of gates in a world and having a cover stone for each address would be obscene, the cover stones have the point of origin of the planet.) The hieroglyph blocks would spawn in system lord temples. (see later point)
System Lord Temples. I know we have (or at least used to have) randomly generating alien temples, if they have been removed I would like them back but made to look more like the Goa'uld mother ships.
Thanks for reading my ideas! If I think of anything else I'll post it in this thread. -Dod
