OpenVPN3 is only compatible with ovpn-dco(-v1). Are you by any chance compiling against the ovpn-dco latest master (v2)?

With OpenVPN3, you should stick to ovpn-dco's tag v0.1.20230206

Since OpenVPN 3 Core Library version 3.8, the DCO integration has been upgraded to to the ovpn-dco-0.2. This support is already shipped in OpenVPN 3 Linux v21.
