Description
Flexibility in enabling both use-case where the solver (e.g. ray-tracer) is a part of the simulation tool or the sensor model is essential.
In cases where the sensor model wants to benefit from solvers available inside the simulation environment, how would a configuration message (to be sent by the sensor model) look like ?
Since there is no "standardized" set of inputs for a solver or ray-tracing engine, is there a generic set of parameters/fields that we can add to OSI message to handle this issue, maybe also sensor-type (camera, lidar, etc.) specific?
This issue is a result of the Sensor Modeling Working Group meeting that took place on 27.08.2020.
