The EngEd community is subject to the following moderation guidelines:
We pledge to foster an open and welcoming environment. Our community (& comment section) is a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:
- Using welcoming and inclusive language.
- Please be respectful, kind, and courteous of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Gracefully accepting constructive criticism. (We are looking for healthy productive comments and debates.)
- Focusing on what is best for the EngEd community.
- Showing empathy towards other EngEd community members.
Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:
- The use of obscene, sexualized, or foul language. No inappropriate language or imagery of any kind.
- Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
- Public or private harassment.
- Please refrain from posting or linking any advertisements.
- Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission. Never post personal information (about yourself) or another EngEd contributor.
- Do NOT post any inappropriate, offensive or illegal material. Inappropriate content is anything that may offend or is not relevant to the discussion.
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
