I thrive in an environment that balances structure with creativity, allowing me to switch between tasks seamlessly. I am most productive in focused 30-minute blocks with short breaks in between, as I find it challenging to maintain prolonged focus. I am highly motivated to grow and excel, and I excel in one-on-one settings rather than group environments.
I deeply value respect in both giving and receiving, fostering an environment of mutual trust. Open communication is essential to me, as it facilitates support and collaboration. I appreciate recognition for my work from time to time. I am passionate about understanding people and helping them grow, and I believe in the power of teamwork. Open and honest feedback is crucial for continuous improvement and maintaining strong relationships.
-
Open & Effective Communicator
- I have a very open communication style through which I try to facilitate support and collaboration.
-
Adaptability & Multi-Tasking
- I thrive in an environment that balances structure with creativity, allowing me to seamlessly switch between tasks.
-
Eagerness
- I love to learn new things, grab ahold of new opportunities. I actively seek out to try new things during my work.
-
Concentration:
- I am diagnosed with ADD. This means I find it hard to keep focus for longer periods of time. This is why I usually work in blocks of 30 minutes with small breaks in between to quickly stretch my legs, re-fill my glass, go to the toilet, …
- For meetings, I’m still figuring out how to keep concentration
-
Impatient:
- I tend to be very impatient with myself. If I feel like I don’t grow / work fast enough I can get frustrated and feel like I’m not getting anywhere.
-
Over-Critical of Self:
- I tend to be quite hard on myself when things don't go as planned or when others notice mistakes that made it through an initial review (e.g., in production).
I aspire to become a technical software developer who not only excels in coding but also prioritises the growth and development of my colleagues through effective coaching and comprehensive onboarding processes. My ambition is to foster a collaborative and supportive environment where every team member feels empowered to reach their full potential.
In general, I tend respond quite fast to messages unless I’m in a focus block.
In meetings, I’m rather silent if I don’t feel like I can contribute to the topic at hand. If it’s a topic I can participate in, I’m vocal and will express my opinions and findings in an open communication style.
For work related aspects, the fastest way to reach me would be to send me a Slack message or to call me. I’m not an email kind of guy.
For non-work related aspects, the fastest way to reach me would be to send a message on Messenger/WhatsApp/SMS or to call me.
I appreciate being in the know about upcoming meetings so that I can prepare accordingly. This does not mean that there is no room for unexpected, spontaneous meetings.
I expect that my focus blocks can be respected.

Getting on the Same Page:
◦ To align with me effectively, practice open and respectful communication where we both listen and share feedback. I tend to shut down if I'm continuously interrupted. -
Persuading Me:
◦ Present the logic and reasoning behind your ideas. I value well-thought-out arguments that take various perspectives into account. -
Communication Do-Nots:
◦ Avoid dismissing my opinions or being overly aggressive. I don't respond well to criticism that lacks constructiveness or respect
I prefer structured follow-ups either in person or through DMs, where the next action points are clearly defined. Please avoid following up via email, as I find it challenging to keep track of them
-
Motivators:
- I respond best to feedback that's framed positively and focuses on my strengths, along with constructive criticism for growth.
-
Demotivators
- I don’t tend to respond well to criticism that is meant to hurt me or lacks the constructive base it needs to learn and grow from.
I have a very open communication style. If you do something wrong / I don’t like, I will tell you in a respective matter. If you do something good / something I like, I will definitely also let you know. I believe in a healthy and balanced feedback form where both the good and the bad are highlighted.
-
Roles I Like to Play:
- I enjoy taking on the role of the supportive team player, ensuring everyone is aligned, informed, and feels comfortable. I often gravitate towards roles where I can help others grow or brainstorming creative solutions. I also like serving as a sounding board for ideas and offering feedback to help strengthen our work.
-
What I Appreciate from Teammates:
- I appreciate teammates who are open-minded, communicative, and collaborative. I value those who are eager to learn, share knowledge, and respect each other’s time and focus. Teammates who balance empathy with constructive feedback make it easier to navigate challenges together and create a positive team environment. I admire people who take accountability and aren’t afraid to speak up when they need help or when something isn’t working.
-
Expectations of Managers:
- I appreciate managers who provide clear direction and are open to a two-way feedback loop. I thrive under managers who trust my expertise but are available for support when needed. Consistent communication about goals, performance, and growth opportunities is something I highly value. I appreciate it when a manager respects my working style while encouraging me to push beyond my comfort zone.
-
What Managers Can Expect from Me:
- Managers can expect a proactive and eager approach from me. I’m committed to delivering quality work, constantly learning, and improving. I’m upfront and honest about my challenges, including my need for focus blocks and short breaks. I’m open to constructive feedback, especially when it’s aimed at helping me grow, and I aim to communicate with transparency. Managers can also expect that I’ll always work to support my teammates and bring a positive attitude to our team goals.

What I Appreciated Most about My Favourite Manager:

They were open to discussing both strengths and areas for improvement and were invested in my professional growth. I appreciated their ability to trust my judgment, celebrate wins (even small ones), and stay approachable no matter the situation.
-
Life Mission:
- While I’m still honing in on a specific life mission, I’m guided by a few core values: exploration, creativity, and personal growth. I aim to live a balanced life where I can keep discovering, learning, and pushing my boundaries, whether it’s through travel, creative pursuits, or new challenges in my career. Ultimately, I hope to create a fulfilling and well-rounded life filled with meaningful connections, constant growth, and plenty of time to appreciate the outdoors and to pursue my hobbies.
