I understand that using a word-level dictionary (instead of a simple syllable-level one) can probably help better match speech variations. However, after alignment, I still need syllable-level (character-level) information. Specifically, I need to parse the long phone string into syllables that align with the corresponding characters.
For example, the following string will be counted as a word according to the dictionary:
什么样 ʂ ə˧˥ n m ə˧ j a˥˩ ŋ
However, I need to extract information on ʂ ə˧˥ n, m ə˧, j a˥˩ ŋ, separately. Seeing the characters, it is easy to derive the syllable boundaries for native speakers. Are there suggestions on how to automatically parse the aligned phoneme sequence into syllables?
