I dont think that get-msmqqueue can create you an object for a queue that doesn't exists on the local computer, so the examples are misleading, to stay polite...
It's quite obvious, because Get-MsmqQueue does not return anything on anything that does not locally exists. (I admit to not having tested public queues, my interest is in remote private queues...)
I'd love to know of a way to actually create an object that represents a distant queue, so that I could send messages to it.
