Update bank account

Hello.
Is there a reason why one can not update a bank account?
I.e. the user misspelled the account owner or a part of the address.
What is the proposed process for updating a bank account?

Just add a new bank account, it will deactivate the last one. Once deactivated it´s not possible to activated again
