-I have been passionate about math and science since high school, but never really knew exactly where my interest and talent in these subjects would take me. I studied engineering in university and explored various different fields in my work experience. Although I had always been interested in using data to make predictions or decisions, I never committed to pursuing data science as the focus of my career - until now. What drove me is the fact that it is a constantly evolving field that forces you to constantly be learning new concepts. This is what was missing from the other fields I worked in and led me to get bored at my past positions.

 It has now been a few months since I quit my job to pursue learning data science full-time. In that time, I have completed a few online courses and a side project, but I have perhaps spent too much time planning my learning journey and researching the ideal resources. I will outline what I have completed so far and intend to greatly ramp up the intensity of my learning, with this blog helping to keep me accountable.
