Currently when I create a pattern track with a complete rhythm I like to make multiple clones for instrument separation.
I cannot remove all other tracks within the cloned pattern because this will also remove them from the source pattern. Muting all tracks besides for example the kickdrum will also mute the sounds from the source pattern. Solo on kick, will also solo kick om the source pattern. I would like to use the clone feature to easily split the complete rtythm into separate instrument patterns which I will use to build a song.
Implementation Details / Mockup
Remove the link between source and cloned pattern samples. So that a mute or solo is only active within the current pattern and not for the same sample in a different patterm. Or be able to remove a sample within the cloned track without removing it from the source pattern. That would be the best option. Other option would be to be able to select multple tracks within a pattern and then be able to clear them at once. Currently you have to do that track by track.
So in this example I selected 4 tracks and I would like to clear them all. Only leaving the handclap positions.
These are two ways to easy an quickly split pattern tracks into multiple pattern tracks.
I understand that you could also make a long pattern to have all variations in it, but I prefer having different patterns and build the rhythm together again in song mode.
