Yes definitely!
Bind each switch to each other, so their states stay in sync (and indicators probably):

Hi, really hope someone can help me here. I am replacing 2 dumb switches with smart switches to control a single light on an upstairs landing. The ZBM5-2C switch upstairs is wired normally to the light and I have a cable running downstairs to a ZBM5-1C smart switch just to provide it live and neutral. This wire used to be the traveller wire for the dumb switch downstairs. I believe that I can bind the two switches together so that they can work together even if HA or Z2M is offline. I tried this from the Z2M frontend by carrying out the following...
The upstairs switch operates the light as expected when used on its own. I have updated both switches firmware to the latest available.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information, please let me know.
