Welcome to the Core wiki!
Core is a single player strategy game where you play as a hacker. In order to break into the top secret database, you have to solve maze-like puzzles, each one harder than the last. You have to be careful though, because if you make just one too many mistakes, you'll be found out!

[explain the goal of the game]
Stop the rotation of the rings in a manner that lets the light escape the maze.
[detail the game mechanics, do not include anything about theme/artwork]
The player can tap the screen, which will stop the rings from rotating, starting from the inner ring, to the outer ring. After the player taps the last ring, the game will determine if the light can escape the maze. If it can, the player will be able to move onto the next level (which might be more challenging because of the slowly increasing number or speed of the rings. If the player fails the level, they will be prompted to retry, but the light will be less bright, and if the light goes out, the player gets pushed back to the last checkpoint (every 5 levels).
[describe what a typical level or puzzle would look like]
The game is designed off of the circular ball game puzzle (see- http://tinyurl.com/balldesign4game). A typical level would have a flat background, with many concentric circles around the "light". Each of these circles would have breaks in them, and tabs that point outward. This is what creates the maze. Each of these circles would be spinning at different rates (and maybe in different directions?). Each time the player taps the device, the next ring would stop (inner to outer) until all of the rings have stopped moving. The player must stop the rings in a way that allows the light to travel from the centermost ring to the outside.

- pausescreen (play, exit)
- levelscreen (proceedtogameplay, exit)
- gameplay (win/lose- proceedtogameplay, exit)
[describe the control scheme used in the game]
all the player does is tap, anywhere on the screen to stop the rings. The animation sequence of the light trying to find its way out is done automatically after the player has stopped all of the rings.
