Cannot sign into spotify from android client

Current Behavior

On the Android app version 3.8.3, build 37, when I try to log in with my Spotify account, instead of being taken to a login page, there are 3 white dots against a black background, and then it transitions to a black background and stays like that.

Expected Behavior

I should be brought into the login screen for Spotify, where spotube will connect to my Spotify account.

Steps to reproduce

I opened the app, I enabled the battery optimization settings, I went to settings, I clicked on login with spotify, and I got stuck at a black background.

This issue has since been resolved. There was nothing I did on my end to fix it.
