KStars Ekos
Since version v3.5.8, KStars has supported Watney CLI as a solver for Ekos.
The usage is quite simple; follow the Quickstart Guide to install Watney CLI and the quad database and then configure KStars on the Ekos Align tab (open the Options) and choose Local Watney:
All the source extraction methods are supported. I can recommend both Internal SEP and BuiltIn Method for Solver - both should work very well. With Internal SEP you can configure the settings in more detail. The BuiltIn Method (Watney's simple star detector) doesn't have anything to configure here, you can however control the detection sensitivity via the configuration file watney-solve-config.yml (parameter defaultStarDetectionBgOffset, try value of 2.0 if you don't seem to be getting enough stars).
Configure the path to Watney, and you should be all set:
