Downloads.Curl issue with macOS 12: Error: curl_easy_setopt: 48

After upgrading to macOS 12 Monterey, when I run Julia (1.7 or 1.6) and do Pkg.update(), I get the following error:

See JuliaLang/Downloads.jl#149 and seems to be fixed in #42721 maybe just wait for the backport
