Disable/hide Other Calendars (Birthday, Task)

Hello, is it somehow possible to disable and/or hide the three "Other Calendars" for any/all users?

We would like to keep the birthday dates within the addressbook item of each users but not each users would like to display his birthday to any other user being able to view them by simply click onto the shared birthday calendar.

Additionally there are no tasks in use within our group and the day will come that one user after the other is going to complain that they "can" enable the shared tasks calender but an error messages is popping up, why is this, is this a problem for me using GO, ... and so on. Therefore it would be really helpfull do disable the display of the shared tasks calender for any/all users as well

Sorry, these can't be hidden at the moment. But I think it's a good idea that this will be implemented.

Regarding the tasks popup error: Well, the error is not exactly an error message :-) Since tasks are not in use I removed task access rights to all the users resulting in the following message: "Forbidden, you don't have access to module 'community/tasks'":

So you pointed me into the right direction: I enabled task access rights for all users but disabled the task module completely. Now the task calendar is still displayed but activating it does not show the access right missing message any longer. That's definitely a situation my users can live with until some future disable/hide function might be available.

Thanks, for starters I have removed the tasks option if you don't have access to the tasks module. The same for birthdays and the address book.

Hello, perfect! Thats pretty much I needed - someone having access to addressbooks can see any birthday anyway and others who do not have addressbook access cannot see the birthday calendar any longer. The same applies to tasks - brilliant! Kind regards, Walter
