All-Slack email list

Create an email list with everyone in our Slack (slack-users@innersourcecommons.org).

We won't use it often, but sometimes we will need it. Like letting people know about the summit.

It's OK if it is created once but not updated automatically. We just need it available to use now.

Is it possible to give a link for people to remove themselves if they don't want to be on the list?

@rrrutledge they will be able to unsubscribe from emails by sending an email to slack-users+unsubscribe@innersourcecommons.org. Removing themselves from the group however would only be easy enough if they are using a Google account as they can go to groups.google.com and leave the group. Otherwise they will need to send us a message to be removed.

PS. The group has been created with all current slack members emails

Yes, or at least that's how their documentation explains it. We still need to add the footer in the email telling people they are able to do that (as I'm unsure its added by default) but I can do that once I'm back in the office.

It looks like we won’t use this functionality right now, so you can stop working on this.

No worries, the address/google group is already setup and the automatic response is turned on so if there is a need to revive this down the line it should be fine to reuse. Closing for now, reopen if needed
