Currently CI builds are using libsoup2 exclusively. We would prefer to switch over to libsoup3 going forward, but having at least some build configuration using libsoup3 would be great.
Native builds. Those use the WPE WebKit packages from Ubuntu 20.04LTS, and there are no alternative packages built with libsoup3. The newer 22.04LTS does not have them either, so most likely we will be stuck with libsoup2 for native builds for a long while.
Cross builds. Those use Yocto SDK images provided by @psaavedra (thanks!), and at the moment libsoup3 is not available in Yocto either.
Most likely we will be able to switch the cross builds first. There is no hurry, but I wanted to file this issue to not forget about this 😄
