Hi @joehandzik @roclark ,

About Lustre versions in general, this can be added as label of another generic metric.

# grep . /sys/fs/lustre/version
2.10.4

BTW, It would be nice to have more info in README file about with which version this exporter works, and with which one it doesn't.

About the Lustre version supported by this exporter, I guess you could check the changelog but I would
assume that the latest stable version is adjusted to run on Lustre 2.10.x or newer.

I am able to run version 2.0.0 of this exporter on Lustre 2.5.3.90 (which is pretty old) but
I have to specify the option --collector.generic=core otherwise the exporter will fail while
trying to read metrics which are not available on my side.

@mtds The lustre_health_check metric is probably missing in your case, doesn't it?

I just ran into this issue myself when I upgrade a Lustre 2.7 system to lustre-exporter-2.0.0 and the metric disappeared. (It moved from /proc/fs/lustre/health_check to /sys/fs/lustre/health_check)

IMHO this is a little unfortunate because otherwise lustre-exporter-2.0.0 seems to work fine.

Also, according to the Lustre Support Matrix Lustre 2.12.x is now the LTS community release. Is the lustre_exporter ready for this version?
