Choclate Chip Cookies

A large crubly cookie with a lot of fun flavors. Based on Alton Brown's Choclate Chip Cookie #10

Ingredients

Dry Goods

  • 300g All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon backing soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Works

  • 150g Sugar
  • 142g Brown Sugar
  • 14 tablespoons butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Extras

  • 2 cups Cocoa Nubs

Directions

  1. Place oven rack in position B and preheat to 375F
  2. Assmeble dry goods, wet works and extras via the muffin method
  3. Use an ice cream scoop to form 12 balls
  4. Place cookie balls on baking sheet
  5. Cover each cookie with a sprinkle of smoked salt
  6. Put cookies in oven
  7. Reduce oven to 275F and bake for 25 Minutes
  8. Increase heat to 350 and bake for 4 minutes
  9. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes then move them to a cooling rack to cool completely
