πŸš€ About Me

I’m Harsh, a software engineer who loves turning complex, large-scale problems into elegant, resilient systems.

I started my career curious about how millions of people stream, interact, and trust large platforms every day β€” and that curiosity has shaped my journey:

  • From hacking together IoT projects with Alexa in my early days,
  • To re-architecting Amazon Music’s WebPlayer at 1M TPS scale,
  • To filing a patent on intelligent caching & DDoS resilience.

What excites me most is building systems that feel invisible yet powerful: the kind that make products smoother, developers faster, and infrastructure cheaper.

Outside work, you’ll usually find me:

  • Writing about system design, developer experience, and infra hacks on Medium
  • Building experimental tools (like local-function-proxy and load-shedder)
  • Brainstorming startup ideas that merge technology, scalability, and real-world impact

πŸ† Things I’m Proud Of

  • πŸ“ Patent Filed (2025): Advanced Caching Service for Dynamic Content Delivery of Videos β†’ bringing intelligence to CDNs & DDoS mitigation
  • ⚑ Performance at Scale: Optimized Amazon Music Web to handle 1M TPS while cutting infra costs by 82%
  • πŸ›  Open Source Creator:
  • ✍️ Tech Writer: Articles on latency reduction, Kubernetes CI/CD, serverless structuring, and intelligent caching
  • 🀝 Mentor & Builder: I enjoy sharing ideas with other engineers, startups, and teams about scalability and developer experience

πŸ”’ Current Work

I’m currently working on reshaping internet security by proposing a new approach to mitigate cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities.
This work is being put forward to the W3C as part of a standards discussion, and you can follow the journey in my explainer repo:

πŸ‘‰ XSS Mitigation Explainer (W3C Proposal)

πŸ› οΈ What I Work With

  • Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Swift, Kotlin
  • Infra & Cloud: AWS (Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, DynamoDB), GCP (GKE, Datastore), Kubernetes, Docker, IaC (CDK/Terraform)
  • Specialties: Distributed systems, CDN optimization, DDoS mitigation, developer productivity tooling, performance engineering

πŸ“ Recent Writing

  1. Beyond Static: Intelligent Caching & DDoS Mitigation with AWS CloudFront
  2. Reducing User-Perceived Latency in iOS Using View Lifecycle
  3. Setup Kubernetes CI/CD for Backend Applications
  4. Structuring Services for AWS Lambda with Serverless

πŸ“Œ Beyond Code

I see myself not just as an engineer, but as a builder of systems that empower innovation:

  • Helping businesses scale without breaking the bank
  • Reducing COβ‚‚ by optimizing infra efficiency
  • Enabling developers to move faster with the right tools

My ultimate goal? To keep pushing the boundaries of secure, scalable infrastructure while inspiring others to do the same.
