Construct a Mermaid diagram to show the various pipelines/stages

Not sure, mermaid looks like ass for some reason. maybe we should look into some alternative thing.. i wonder if graphviz has something nice.

I haven't looked into graphviz but I think the mermaid graph looks fine, what's the problem with it?

Its "supposed" to resemble something like this

Which looks a bit more stream lined... I suppose worst case is we redraw the diagrams ourselves? with transparent background etc
