The Geodata section goes through a lot of theory before participants get a chance to practice adding data in the exercise.

Could help people to follow and understand if there is a very short exercise at the end of the vector and raster subsections? (There are already short exercises in the CRS section).

This could be as simple as:

  • Load a vector dataset from a couple of different formats
  • Load a raster dataset from a couple of different formats

An alternative might be to reconfigure Intro to geodata and geodata management so that the practice for adding each type of data is next to the content introducing that type of data.

E.g.

  1. Geodata intro
  2. Vector data - theory - practice/import
  3. Raster data - theory - practice/import
  4. Exercise

Similar feedback from someone else:
"It would be better if small execises could be added in between, such as clicking around, looking at the attribute table, telling difference between "Info" tool and content in layer attribute table"

Another piece of feedback related to this:
"Would be good to have mini tasks at the end of each subsection so people have something to practice as they go along - this would be helped by breaking up the larger pages into smaller subpages."

can be combined with a practical exercise to understand projections in the same chapter. The exercise on loading the data can be done after the introduction of geodata and layers and the second part about CRS after the projections theory.
