wine-tkg breaks keyboard on native Wayland (but not stable wine) #1123
Comments
Can confirm, But normal wine also breaks input in games. |
@Tk-Glitch After a bunch of testing, I have concluded that this is indeed a wine-tkg issue. While with some games, both upstream and wine-tkg refuse to register any inputs, Some games do register inputs on upstream but not wine-tkg's build. The "upstream" label should be revoked. |
It seems to have been fixed along the way with Wine 9.2 release. |
Hi, am trying to get wayland mode working with these CI builds: https://github.com/Frogging-Family/wine-tkg-git/actions/workflows/wine-valvexbe-pacman.yml however these are still on wine 9.0. Which arch linux builds should I grab which are the closest to wine-ge? (proton-ge for lutris / outside steam) |
The CI builds don't have wayland driver enabled. Also, all the Valve based builds (such as GE's) are currently at best using wine 9.0 which has issues with the wayland driver. We are considering enabling it for CI builds anyway due to growing demand, but it will have issues on Valve trees until the next sync. |

Confirmed this with games like Muse Dash and Planet of Lana, wine-tkg breaks keyboard in native Wayland, while normal Wine works just fine. (tested versions 9.1 and above)
Any ideas whats going on?
