Describe the bug
Some solid icons are Pro only (e.g. alarm-clock)

Expected behavior
It says on your website that all solid icons are part of the free plan so I expect to be able to use all of them or would kindly ask you to rephrase that statement to remove any false claims.

Hi!

Thanks for being part of the Font Awesome Community.

It says on your website that all solid icons are part of the free plan so I expect to be able to use all of them or would kindly ask you to rephrase that statement to remove any false claims.

Could you please provide a link to the page with that sentence?

E.g. Referencing Icons - Basic use or Plans & Pricing - Free

While I must agree that it does not state that the complete solid icon set is supported I still think it is misleading marketing and Availability: Mixed or and additional includes most of the solid style would not hurt.
On the other hand however there are also some light style icons included in the free plan which I really like though I am honestly sometimes confused as I do not understand what this depends on.

Thanks

I agree that this is not 100% clear.

Actually there are some icons from the regular style for mainly two reasons:

  • Old outline icon from FA4 are still free in FA5 as regular icons (e.g: fa fa-user-o => far fa-user)
  • A reasonable generic use case requires both icons (e.g: switching from far fa-star to fas fa-star)

@talbs any chance to clarify both Referencing Icons - Basic use instructions and Plans & Pricing - Free tooltip? I do not have a suggestion about how to clarify 🤔

One additional kinda related comment: On the cheatsheet for the regular icon set is a link 'Why are these included in FA free?' but it does not lead anywhere...
