How to handle errors thrown by axios-auth-refresh when token refresh fails

When refreshing my auth tokens, if the refresh fails I'm returning a rejected promise.

createAuthRefreshInterceptor(axios, async () => {
      try {
        await Auth.refreshToken();
      } catch {
        const userStore = useUserStore();
        await userStore.signOut();
        return Promise.reject();
      }
});

However axios-auth-refresh then appears to throw an error

   Uncaught (in promise) CanceledError: Request call failed

Is there a standard approach to handling these errors so that they can be hidden from users
