Play music using file HMP/MID

I'm looking how to play the TITLE.HMP music.

The main problem is a way to run the file directly in c using the SDL3 that only support WAV file.

The TITLE.HMP need to be unmangled and after that I converted the file to MID using https://github.com/Mindwerks/wildmidi

And with the mid files is possible to run using mciSendCommand.

Don't know is this is the best path.

Not opposed, but what about the midi functionality in SDL_mixer? We might end up needing that library anyway.

Looks fine, I gonna use the wildmidi library in the project.
I don't know how to setup the zig/Makefile to download the https://github.com/Mindwerks/wildmidi

sounds good, throw the necessary headers and library files in the externals folder so people can build immediately after gitting just like SDL

From the guys:

idk if it helps but to get the whiplash midis to sound correct on playback i have to use foobar with ADLMidi and the Normality instrument bank. Normality is another Gremlin game, as it turns out.
also here is TITLE.mid on straight fl studio flex no edits
the channel order is weird on these, track 1 is empty and track 10 is the drum track.
for me wildmidi didn't seem to play these correct

Have almost all the channels with a pad sound.

I guess the only way to sound exactly the same would be to convert the soundfont (.sf2) to .pad. I didn't find a easy way to do it 😐
